Introduction
The Video describes the dorsal
graft urethroplasty for penile urethral strictures by ventral sagittal
urethrotomy approach.
Materials and Methods
Patient
with penile urethral stricture is treated by a dorsal buccal mucosa graft
(BMG). Circumcision and degloving. The urethra is not separated from the
corporal bodies and is opened ventrally in the midline over the stricture.
As Asopa suggested the
exposed dorsal urethra is incised in the midline down to the tunica albuginea.
The margins of the incised dorsal urethra are dissected from the tunica: an
elliptical raw area is created over the tunica albuginea where the dorsal-inlay
BMG is placed and quilted to the corpora to augment dorsally the urethral
plate. The ventral urethrotomy is closed over the catheter.
Results
After 10 days the
catheter is removed.
Conclusions
The ventral sagittal
urethrotomy approach for dorsal graft penile urethroplasty is successful and
easy to perform.
